🌟 The Role:
This role will be across our portfolio of travel insurance and pet insurance brands. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimising our affiliate marketing and paid social campaigns to drive traffic, online sales, and generate revenue. They may be asked to work on other channels, too
🌟 What will you do?
Campaign Planning and Execution:
- Developing and implementing the affiliates strategy for the group’s brands, growing the affiliate channel for each brand
- Develop and implement a performance marketing strategy for paid social, including retargeting and any other channels they are given responsibility for (e.g. display)
- Manage the creation and optimisation of creative assets for each channel, working with designers internally or at agencies
- Collaborate with internal teams, an external affiliate network and agencies to ensure campaigns are executed effectively and on budget.
- Monitoring campaign spend and ROI, adjusting strategies as needed to optimise performance
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve channel performance
Supplier Management
- Proactively identify affiliate and wider partnership opportunities, co-operating with the partnerships team
- Create strong relationships with key affiliates to drive incremental sales and be “front of mind” for new opportunities vs competitors
- Increase the group’s presence at affiliate marketing forums and events
- Develop and manage a strong working relationship with the agency for paid social
Finance Management:
- All affiliates and paid social forecasting, affiliate sales validations and financial reconciliations
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place to prevent fraud or overpayment to affiliates
Regulatory and Scheme Management
- Resolve all affiliates queries and ensure accurate payments
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate affiliate management processes
- Monitor the activity of affiliates to ensure compliance with affiliate programme policies and woer regulations
- Responsible for adherence to FCA, advertising standards and ASA codes. Work with compliance and legal teams to evolve guidelines and working practices to ensure compliance
- Contribute to work on developing digital attribution models and implement resulting changes
Data Analysis and Optimisation:
- Generate regular reports on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations to key stakeholders
- Utilize data analytics tools to track campaign performance, analyse key metrics, and identify opportunities for optimisation
- Implement A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI
🌟 Essentials:
- Experience managing affiliates campaigns in the UK with a demonstrable track record driving revenue growth
- Awareness of paid social advertising, ideally with experience overseeing an agency managing campaigns
- Results orientated with a focus on successful delivery, with ability to prioritise and manage multiple stakeholders
- Experience of working at a regulated business (e.g. financial services, insurance, gambling etc) an advantage, but not essential
- Experience managing budget processes with a high degree of numeracy and accuracy including forecasting, reporting, reconciliations, and invoice approval
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and dynamic environment, and to work across multiple brands concurrently
- Experience identifying reporting and tracking issues, and working with tracking experts to address them
- Strong understanding of FCA, ASA and digital advertising legislation and codes of practice
- Proficiency in data tools such as Google Analytics, Looker or similar.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
🌟 Bonus skills you may pack in your suitcase:
- Experience within the insurance industry (if you’ve worked in travel, even better!) or similar sector experience, although an eagerness to improve your knowledge of our industry will bode well.
- Certifications in Google Analytics, Affiliate Marketing, Facebook Ads, or similar.
