🌟 Role overview:
As the Head of PCW Brands, you will be responsible for leading our suite of internal brands (Avanti Go, InsureFor and Big Blue, plus Travel Insurance Medical and InsureMe4 from the implementation of PTM 2.0 in Summer 2025) during a period of high growth in this crucial channel.
You will be commercially relentless but good to be around, with broad skills and a strong knowledge of the Travel Insurance market in general and of how to be commercially successful in PCW distribution in particular. Your knowledge and experience means that you can positively challenge, but you are also open to new ideas and challenge coming the other way, from both external sources and intra-Tribe and internal stakeholders. You are a strategic thinker that is also across the numbers and the detail, especially our Trading performance and profitability.
You will have a digital mindset and be credible to SMEs in the tribe, when it comes to pursuing improvements in conversion. In addition to ensuring that the Tribe delivers the roadmap and commercial performance, you will support the team in making the right calls across Product, Marketing and Digital, working with the Tribe Leadership and wider C-Suite to steer the PCW brands from a longer-term delivery and strategy perspective.
You will effectively manage 3rd party distribution channels with deep understanding of the commercial levers and balancing commercial toughness with pragmatic and engaged relationship management
Responsibilities:
- Maximising growth for all PCW brands through core PCWs and supporting channels (NB: Rock partnership brands are out of scope)
- Optimising growth and financial performance through close management of the PCW P&Ls, balancing high growth with positive contribution and longer-term value creation
- Guiding the Tribe Leadership to deliver an outstanding experience for new and existing customers
- Ensuring that any supporting D2C marketing channels are managed efficiently, whilst delivering the customer throughput to exceed the business objectives
- Optimising conversion performance and commercial outcomes using the key levers of marketing
(volume and efficiency), VTQ and QTS conversion, MPS and returning customer performance
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for PCW brands, utilising internal and external inputs to ensure that brand, business strategy, products and pricing align to the vision and mission
- Provide excellent leadership to the PCW Tribe and enabling teams, utilising the balanced matrix organisational approach to get the most out of the resources available, whilst making the Tribe an acknowledged centre of excellence for PCWs both within and outside of the Group

- Great commercial acumen and highly numerate
- Deep knowledge of the dynamics of product comparison, from a customer, PCW and product provider perspective
- Strategic thinker – able to turn vision into strategy and strategy into delivery and growth
- Strong empathetic leader and capable of forging highly effective and motivated teams
- Adept at stakeholder management
- Highly developed influencing skills
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels and distribution, ideally with agency side experience
- Strong knowledge of digital trading and conversion optimisation
- Successfully operating in an online commercial business/business unit through a period of fast growth
- Working in a matrix and/or business agile team environment
- P&L management with attention to detail and a close eye on spend, as well as revenue
- Experience working in high paced commercial and challenging trading environments
- Experience of working in, or alongside, digital and marketing teams
- Proven ability to negotiate optimum commercial terms and/or incremental growth opportunities externally, and to win the support of stakeholders and colleagues for internal projects and strategies

- Insurance SME (personal lines general, ideally travel insurance)
