Our people are at the heart of that success. We invest in talent, back bold ideas and create space for innovation to flourish because growth happens when great people are empowered to do their best work.
With a global ambition to innovate, dominate and disrupt niche insurance markets, we’re looking for forward-thinkers who thrive on change and want to shape the future of the industry.
🌟 The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced IT Disaster Recovery Manager to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity capabilities. This role is critical in ensuring the resilience of our IT systems, minimising downtime, and protecting business operations in the event of disruption.
🌟 What will you do?
Strategy & Planning
Define and own the organisation’s IT disaster recovery strategy, aligned to broader business continuity plans
Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical systems and dependencies
Establish and maintain recovery objectives (RTOs and RPOs) in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
Implementation & Governance
Develop, implement, and maintain DR policies, standards, and procedures
Ensure DR solutions are embedded across infrastructure, applications, and data environments
Integrate DR planning with third-party vendors and cloud platforms
Testing & Continuous Improvement
Lead regular DR testing, simulations, and failover exercises
Analyse outcomes, document findings, and drive continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g. ISO 22301, GDPR)
Monitoring & Reporting
Track DR readiness and provide regular reporting to senior leadership
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of critical systems and recovery capabilities
Lead post-incident reviews and implement lessons learned
Training & Stakeholder Engagement
Deliver training and awareness sessions across IT and business teams
Act as a subject matter expert for DR best practices and emerging technologies
🌟 Essentials:
Proven experience in IT disaster recovery, business continuity, or IT risk management
Strong understanding of DR technologies (backup, replication, cloud recovery)
Experience defining and managing RTO/RPO frameworks
Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 22301, NIST, or ITIL
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
🌟 Bonus skills you may pack in your suitcase:
Experience in hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Relevant certifications (e.g. CBCP, ITIL, CISSP)
Familiarity with enterprise architecture and IT service management
🌟What Success Looks Like
DR plans are tested, validated, and continuously improved
Critical systems can be restored within agreed RTO/RPO targets
The organisation demonstrates strong resilience and audit readiness
Stakeholders are confident in DR processes and response capability
We’re assembling a diverse team, where skills, not checkboxes, reign supreme, regardless of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.
